Thrive Symposium: Adapting While Keeping What Matters

November 11 & 12, 2026

The purpose of this conference is to bring faculty together to explore, share, and advance critical thinking in all disciplines. Through collaboration, innovative teaching practices, and scholarly inquiry, including the role of technology, we aim to cultivate learning environments that engage and challenge students.

We invite you to submit a proposal for the upcoming “Adapting While Keeping What Matters” Faculty Thrive Symposium. The purpose of this year’s conference is to bring faculty together to explore, share, and advance strategies for navigating teaching and learning amid considerable institutional and environmental change in higher education. Through meaningful collaboration, reflective teaching practices, and intentional innovation, we aim to cultivate adaptable learning environments that uphold our core academic values. By learning to adapt purposefully while protecting core institutional values, we ensure our educational community continues to thrive.

Submissions are open from now through Sept. 25 at 5 p.m. Sessions will be held Nov. 11-12 in the Shepherd Union Building.
