Join a Community
The Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning (CETL) at Weber State University fosters a vibrant and supportive network of communities that promote faculty engagement, growth, and collaboration. These include the New Faculty Experience, a year-long onboarding program; Book groups for shared learning and dialogue; and Communities of Practice that connect faculty around common teaching interests.
CETL also supports faculty development through targeted programming, events for adjunct faculty, the innovative Thrive Symposium, and the inspiring Last Lecture series. Together, these communities create space for connection, creativity, and continuous learning.
Faculty Development Courses
We offer a series of faculty development courses with Association of College and University Educators (ACUE) certification designed to help instructors enhance their teaching skills. They promote student success by covering topics such as fostering a sense of belonging, creating a supportive learning environment, and implementing active learning strategies.
