New Faculty Experience
The New Faculty Experience is a yearlong program designed to welcome you to your new home and acclimate you to the various support systems Weber State offers for your personal and professional development. Your experience will kick off with the New Faculty Retreat offered in August.
During the retreat and other activities throughout the year, you will:
Build Community
Engage in meaningful community-building activities with peers across campus.
Grow as an Educator
Focus on teaching, scholarship, and mentorship opportunities that support your development within our dynamic teaching community.
Enhance Engagement
Strengthen teaching strategies and student engagement skills.

New Faculty Experience Canvas Course
You will be invited to a CETL New Faculty Experience Canvas Course that houses content, information, and resources to support you in your transition from novice faculty to experienced faculty at Weber State. The course also includes pre-assignments to prepare you for your retreat experience.
