Building Puentes

Weber State University’s Building Puentes program is designed to graduate career-ready, English-Spanish bilingual professionals in northern Utah. The Building Puentes program will offer certificate and degree programs through classes taught entirely in Spanish — like our Entrepreneurship certificate — or bilingually — like our upcoming computing science program. In support of non-English speaking students, specifically Spanish-speaking students, Building Puentes will offer ESL courses at varying levels to assist them throughout their education.

The program will offer courses designed to build on each other so that a certificate could count toward an associate’s degree, which could then count toward a bachelor’s degree.

Entrepreneurship

This online certificate program taught entirely in Spanish will help you develop the skills necessary to be a successful entrepreneur. Learn foundations of startup development, e-commerce, effective marketing strategies for your small business and more.

Early Childhood Educator Certificate

Built for future educators, this certificate program will teach you essential skills to create high-quality learning environments for children (birth to eight years). Taught in both English and Spanish, you will learn the fundamentals of human development, explore the roots of early childhood education and more.

In support of each of these areas, Building Puentes will offer
ESL courses at varying levels to help students during their education.
