You may apply for this certificate provided you have applied for admission to Weber State University and/or have declared you are a degree-seeking student.
Course Details
You must complete these courses with a grade of C or better to earn this certificate.

CS 1030: Foundations of Computing (4 credits)
This introductory course covers topics like personal digital security, ethical behaviors in education and business, how computers work and communicate with one another, how to create a website, and more.

CS 1400: Programming (4 credits)
Gain a basic understanding of how to create software for all computing environments. Learn computer programming topics like logical problem solving, basic input/output, utilizing language libraries, and more.

WEB 1400: Web Design and Usability (3 credits)
Learn about the technicalities of the World Wide Web and the Internet. Plan, design, and implement a successful website using current web technologies. Topics include audience analysis, information architecture, prototyping, and more.

WEB 2200: Image Editing (3 credits)
Learn how to edit images using Adobe Photoshop. Develop basic programming skills, learn the steps in editing images, make adjustments, and more. Assignments include editing images and creating composites for websites.
