You may apply for this certificate provided you have applied for admission to Weber State University and/or have declared you are a degree-seeking student.
Course Details
You must complete these courses with a grade of C or better to earn this certificate.

CS 1030: Foundations of Computing (4 credits)
Covers topics like personal digital security, ethical behaviors in education and business, how computers work and communicate with one another, how to create a website, and more.

CS 1400: Programming (4 credits)
Gain a basic understanding of how to create software for all computing environments. Learn computer programming topics like logical problem solving, basic input/output, utilizing language libraries, and more.

CYBR 1400: Introduction to Cyber Defense and Ethics (3 credits)
Learn the ethics of working with information and cyber tools. Study terminology, concepts, and defense techniques related to cyber defense.

CYBR 2200: Cybersecurity and System Fundamentals (3 credits)
Become familiar with current computer hardware and software technologies. Work to install, configure, and optimize current operating systems following industry best practices.
