RN to BSN Admission & Selection

Students are accepted to our RN to BSN Program each fall, spring and summer semesters.

How to Apply

Take the following steps to apply to the RN to BSN Program:

• Please read the Applicant Checklist before proceeding
  I have read the checklist.*
• You must be a current WSU student or apply for admission. You can apply to WSU and to the RN to BSN program at the same time.
• Once you're admitted to WSU, you remain admitted—no need to reapply later.
• Have you passed the NCLEX-RN and hold a current RN license?

NOTE: Current WSU students in the ADN or PN to RN Program should refer to the RN to BSN Student Progression Page for information related to applying for the RN to BSN at the conclusion of their associate’s degree program. Students may log in to the bulletin board using their Wildcat login and password.

Applicants are encouraged to email the RN to BSN Advisor & Enrollment Specialist before applying to verify that all prerequisites are met. 

Applications are reviewed by the nursing program Admissions and Advancement Committee. A point system is used to facilitate candidate selection. Support courses are evaluated, but points will not be awarded for courses in progress during the semester applications are received.

Selection Notification

Approximately 4 to 6 weeks after the appropriate application deadline students will be notified of acceptance or not.
