Gone, but Not Forgotten

The Department of Health Administrative Services fondly remembers two of our instructors who passed away since the publication of last fall’s newsletter.

MHA alumna and adjunct instructor Mary Gathers passed away in July. A featured alumna in the first issue of this newsletter, she taught a Health Informatics course alongside her day job as the regional administrative director of information systems at Intermountain Healthcare. Prior to her executive and educator roles, she worked in radiology and information technology.

Dr. Bruce Davis, vice provost and dean for the Division of Online & Continuing Education, has left a void in many areas of WSU since passing away last December. In between his many official duties in those roles, he found time to teach an Entrepreneurship in Healthcare course in the MHA program. In addition to his work at WSU, Davis also served on the board and executive committee for McKay-Dee Hospital.
