I started testing or took a test before July 1, 2012 and need to take the paper re-test or finish. |
Paper GED® Testing is for those individuals who have already started or completed their testing on paper. If you started testing on paper - you must complete testing on paper. You cannot retest or complete testing on the computer. Paper GED® Testing is offered the first & third Tuesday of each month. Register at 7:30 a.m. at the WSU Student Services Testing Center (SSC room 262). One or two retests may be taken each day. Testing is on a “first-come first-served” basis. No late test-takers will be admitted. The retest fees are: Writing .................. $ 24.00 Payment may be made with cash, check, Visa, MasterCard, or Discover An individual is eligible to take three (3) paper-based GED® Test forms in any calendar year. If you have not passed the subject successfully after three (3) tries, you will have to wait to retest again until the next calendar year. WSU’s Testing Center will maintain answer sheets for a period of three (3) months. Scores from previous versions of the GED® cannot be combined with the current 2002 version. This means that as of January 1, 2002, anyone who has not completed the former version of GED® will need to begin all over again with all five (5) subject tests. A Utah High School Completition Diploma is awarded upon successful completion of the GED® Test. If the GED® was taken out-of-state, you must request your official records be sent directly to the Utah State Department of Education. Previous scores must be input before retesting may occur. If you took the GED® Test on the computer, copy requests must be made of the Utah State Board of Education (USBOE). Please visit their website for instructions and forms @ www.schools.utah.gov/ged If you took the GED® Test on paper, Weber State University(WSU) can process your request for past transcripts/credentials. As of July 1, 2009, the Utah State Board of Education ruled: Individuals who have taken and passed the GED® Tests in the State of Utah between the dates of January 1, 2002 and June 30, 2009, may apply for a Utah High School Completion Diploma to replace the originally issued GED® Test Certificate.
