This online certificate prepares students for supervisory and coordination roles in construction management. All coursework can also apply directly toward a bachelor's degree in construction management. Interested students can fill out an interest form now and prepare to begin coursework in January 2027. -
Mammography: Students can earn a Mammography Certificate in just one semester, opening doors to high-demand clinical roles, higher earning potential, and vital specialization in women’s healthcare with a recognized credential.

Associate degrees to expand opportunities

Bachelor’s programs to transform your future
-
Early childhood: The new Bachelor of Applied Studies in Early Childhood offers a 100% online, accelerated path for students seeking careers in early childhood care, family advocacy, and pediatric support.
It’s the only higher education program in Utah to be accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children. It also offers opportunities for students to earn industry certifications and endorsements along the way, preparing graduates for immediate workforce needs. -
Neuroscience: Previously available only as a minor, a bachelor’s degree in neuroscience unlocks career paths in health, medicine, neuropsychology, research, and more. Faculty in the program provide hands-on training in research and laboratory techniques, and they regularly support student-led community outreach.
-
Occupational and environmental health and safety: Offered primarily online to accommodate working professionals, the Bachelor of Science in Occupational and Environmental Health and Safety equips graduates with critical skills and knowledge that can save lives.
“There’s a big need for safety in the workplace to prevent fatalities and keep people healthy and safe,” said Justin Thygerson, OEHS program director. “Employers are looking for well-rounded professionals who can protect workers across all industries, from healthcare and manufacturing to hospitality and construction.”
Specialized emphasis to customize your degree
-
Athletic coaching and leadership: The Athletic Coaching and Leadership emphasis is a specialized track within the Physical Education Teaching and Coaching program.
“Unlike many sport management programs that primarily focus on business or athletic administration, our program is designed to prepare students to coach athletes on the field, court, or in other athletic environments,” said Ryan Zimmerman, chair of the Department of Health, Physical Education & Recreation. “Students learn evidence-based coaching methods, leadership, athlete development, practice planning, motor learning, and communication skills that directly translate to coaching success.”
Master’s degrees to focus learning on what matters most
-
Mechanical engineering: The Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering is designed for current students and working professionals. It offers a flexible pathway into engineering, and pairs coursework with projects and applied research in some of the fastest-growing sectors of the field.
Students can customize their degree through an interdisciplinary track or specialize in emphasis areas. Options include aerospace and structures — focusing on aerodynamics, propulsion, and advanced materials — or dynamics, controls, robotics, and AI, which covers automation, mechatronics, and intelligent machine design. -
Teaching: The Master of Arts in Teaching program combines rigorous coursework with supervised clinical classroom training. Candidates earn their teaching license and master’s degree at the same time.
“Graduates enter the profession prepared to meet Utah’s educator standards and may benefit from higher starting salaries, with teachers holding a master’s degree earning, on average, more than $5,000 annually above those with only a bachelor’s degree,” said Sheryl Rushton, MAT program director.
