Bachelor of Science in Occupational and Environmental Health and Safety
The Occupational and Environmental Health and Safety (OEHS) degree stands as a unique educational resource in Utah and the United States, training students to identify and mitigate workplace hazards while ensuring environmental compliance. Through a collaborative partnership with the University of Utah and affiliation with the Rocky Mountain Center for Occupational and Environmental Health, the program offers an expansive, interdisciplinary learning environment. Students will gain knowledge in workplace hazard recognition, risk management, ergonomics, environmental health, epidemiology, industrial hygiene, occupational health psychology, construction safety, and regulatory safety.

The BS in Occupational and Environmental Health & Safety is recognized as a Qualified Academic Program (QAP) by the Board of Certified Safety Professionals (BCSP). The program provides a pathway to certification as a Certified Safety Professional (CSP) by helping graduates earn an intermediate credential, the Graduate Safety Practitioner (GSP), a significant step toward the CSP.
