Sustainability
Weber State faculty, staff and students are addressing the sustainability challenges of our time. More and more faculty are including sustainability-related material in their courses and many conduct sustainability-focused research. Students are effecting change on campus, and over 60 WSU departments are Green Team certified. Our award-winning facilities utilize efficient and renewable energy systems. Join Weber in making a difference.
Defined in a pluralistic and inclusive way, sustainability encompasses human and ecological health, social justice, secure livelihoods, and a better world for all generations. Often depicted as a three-legged stool, this multidimensional concept includes social, economic, and environmental components with each representing one of the stool’s legs.
