Richards Scholar Internship Opportunities

The Richards Institute is committed to promoting opportunities for students to have real life experiences, demonstrate leadership, and widen their network, while pursuing their academic degree. We believe a great way to do that is through internships.

The Richards Institute partners with Utah Associations that work with the State Legislature while it is in session. The Richards Scholar internships are available during spring semester, lasting from January 1 through mid-March. If you are interested in becoming a Richards Scholar, contact your designated Richards Fellow (the WSU student leader representing each college on campus). The benefits of becoming a Richards Scholar include:

  • Participate in the RRI Ethical Leadership Program to shape their leadership philosophy and position them for success.

  • Be paired with board members who will serve as mentors and help expand their network & exposure.

  • Qualify for and participate in a paid internship, providing leadership to community projects, fostering ethical awareness and enabling personal growth.

  • Be mentored by a Richards Fellow as a potential successor to Fellow role and/or student representative on college advisory board or the RRI board.
