Leadership Program Courses

WSU offers a Post Masters to DNP - Leadership with 100% online coursework. Additionally, a DNP Project, a final scholarly project that demonstrates clinical scholarship, is also a program requirement and necessitates coming to campus for dissemination.

You will work closely with an advisor/faculty during the course of the program to facilitate your success. As with any doctoral program, you must be highly motivated to complete this program. It is work and time intensive.

See the WSU Catalog for individual course descriptions.

DNP Practice Hours

The DNP is a practice doctorate and as such, a minimum of 1,000 hours of post-baccalaureate practice hours is needed to achieve the DNP competencies (AACN, 2006). Students will have a varying amount of transcripted practice hours upon admission to the DNP program and 300 practice hours will be achieved from the DNP practicum. WSU has experiences that are designed to provide students with graduate-level practice hours to achieve the learning objectives related to the AACN DNP Essentials and DNP competencies.
