Post-BSN to Doctor of Nursing Practice: Nurse Anesthesia

In the Weber State University Nurse Anesthesia Program, students will be prepared to advance from a bachelor’s-prepared registered nurse to a doctoral-prepared nurse anesthetist and clinical leader. The program emphasizes the development of advanced anesthesia knowledge and skills, including patient assessment, anesthetic planning, and the delivery of safe, evidence-based anesthesia care across the lifespan.

The Nurse Anesthesia Program is currently undergoing Capability Review by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs (COA), with an accreditation decision anticipated in October 2027. The program cannot enroll students until initial accreditation has been granted. Prospective students are encouraged to continue to monitor the program website for updates. Individuals interested in serving as clinical preceptors or hosting students at their site may contact crna@weber.edu.
