Mentoring Programs at Weber State University

Mentoring is a transformative, personalized experience that fosters growth and learning for both mentor and mentee. Open to all students at any stage of their college journey, mentorship offers a unique opportunity to build meaningful, one-on-one connections. Mentees benefit from real-time guidance, hands-on support, and open conversations to address questions and challenges. There is no financial cost, only a commitment of time (about an hour a month) and effort to invest in a supportive relationship. Mentorship is happening all across Weber State. Take the first step in finding the right mentor for you!

Our Mentoring Programs

A MENTOR is…

A mentor is a leader who facilitates learning, growth, and purposeful interactions with mentees. They share knowledge, build skills, offer guidance on student success and career exploration, and promote mutual growth while advocating for access to campus and community resources. Mentors may specialize in university life, first year experiences, or career preparation. Their qualifications vary by mentoring program and the training materials each mentor utilizes.

A MENTEE is…

Mentees seek guidance in a specific area of university or community life. They can expect a mentor to support and champion their goals by connecting them to resources and providing encouragement. Mentees will meet with their mentor about an hour per month to discuss relevant topics and work to build a meaningful and productive relationship. Mentees will meet with their mentor to cover relevant matters and work to build a meaningful and productive relationship.
