The Master of Social Work Program has established a scholarship opportunity to assist formally admitted students with tuition and fees. A total of 15 awards will be given to:
- 5 first year students
- 5 second year students
- 5 advanced standing students
Criteria:
- Must have and maintain a GPA of 3.5 or above while in a MSW program. Each awardee will receive $1000 for fall and spring, for a total academic amount of $2000.
- Must have a minimum undergraduate GPA of 3.0 (first year students)
- Must be a full time Master of Social Work student
Preferences:
Preference will be given to students who have dependent children Preference will be given to students with financial need Preference will be given to students who have faced other challenging, social, economic, educational, cultural, or other life circumstances. Preference will be given to students who can show a substantial volunteer community service within the social work/welfare system Preference will be given to students who reside in or near the Ogden area and have an interest in remaining in the Weber/Morgan area to work with local community residents.
