Students completing the Data Analytics Essentials Certificate will:
- 1. Explore, manipulate, and use data to improve business decision making
- 2. Make better business and managerial decision by applying a variety of analytic methods such as data mining, regression analysis, and predictive analytics
Associate Degree
Students completing the Associate of Science in Management Information Systems will be able to demonstrate the following outcomes:
- Be able to use data to improve business decision making
- Be capable of developing and implementing information systems
- Be able to gather and organize relevant data and information to identify issues and problems to draw logical conclusions
Bachelor Degree
At the end of their study at WSU, students in this program will meet the following standards and expectations:
1. Be able to collect, analyze, and use data to improve business decision making.
2. Be capable of developing and implementing information systems.
3. Be adept at helping management understand and plan for the best new technologies and how to integrate them into the organization's business processes.

A bachelor's degree in Information Systems & Technologies provides students with a broad background in basic business knowledge, problem solving, and computer systems analysis and design skills. Depending on the electives, students will also study advanced software development, systems analysis and design, advanced networks, or information security and computer forensics. Graduates will be prepared to help organizations use computer technology to support their business processes. Students will learn how to work with people to understand how they do their jobs and where computer technology can be most effective, as well as implementing computer-based solutions.
