  1) Based on your program’s assessment findings, what subsequent action will your program take?
  - Although a small cohort, the outcomes for the 2016/2017 cohort were above average with a 100% first-time pass rate realized on the national written assessment, and an 84% first-time pass rate on the national psychomotor assessment. Subsequently, all students from this cohort passes both assessments and are now practicing paramedics. Thus, no significant actions will be taken in regards to the assessment findings.
  - We are interested in better understanding how departments/programs assess their graduating seniors or graduate students. Please provide a short narrative describing the practices/curriculum in place for your department/program. Please include both direct and indirect measures employed. Finally, what were your findings from this past year’s graduates?
  - Our students take a “no harm – no foul” predictive examination prior to graduation and the national certification attempt. This examination is highly predictive of success both on the national assessment as well as in their abilities as an entry level prehospital clinician.

  1)Based on your program’s assessment findings, what subsequent action will your program take?
  - The program has become more aggressive in designing potential exit points that captures students that lack the ability to successfully complete the capstone requirements of the paramedic program.
  2)We are interested in better understanding how departments/programs assess their graduating seniors. Please provide a short narrative describing the practices/curriculum in place for your department/program. Please include both direct and indirect measures employed.
  - Our students take a “no harm – no foul” predictive examination prior to graduation and the national certification attempt. This examination is highly predictive of success both on the national assessment as well as in their abilities as an entry level prehospital clinician.

  1) Reflecting on this year’s assessment(s), how does the evidence of student learning impact your faculty’s confidence in the program being reviewed; how does that analysis change when compared with previous assessment evidence?
  - Paramedic Education at Weber State continues to be envied by other schools and students. The National Registry pass rate is in the top 5% of the nation. Since April 25, 2013, 35 students have taken the National Registry exam and passed it on first attempt. The program as a proven recipe for success so there appears no immediate need to change methods.
  2) With whom did you share the results of the year’s assessment efforts?
  - Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Programs (CAAHEP)
  - Committee on Accreditation of Education Programs in the Emergency Medical Service Professions (CoAEMSP)
  3) Based on your program’s assessment findings, what subsequent action will your program take?
  - The program has become more aggressive in dealing with the affective domain
  - The academic recipe is good
  - We will continue to stay the course of proven success.
