Clinical Approach/ Interests: I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, which focuses on improving the connection between thoughts, feelings, and behavior. My goal is to create a safe environment where we can work together to achieve your goals and navigate challenging situations. Above all, I am here to listen to you. 

Other Interests: My interests highlight my dedication to spending quality time with my family and friends, as they provide a sense of grounding. I find that laughter and good company heals the soul. I also enjoy working out, watching movies, good food, SHOPPING, and solving sudoku and word-search puzzles.

Clinical Approach/ Interests: I believe ourpersonal stories and life experiences shape how we engage with the world around us.  Through therapy, we have the opportunity to explore, rework, and even rewrite these narratives-helping us move toward a more authentic sense of self and harness the power that comes with that understanding. 

My approach is client-centered, grounded in emotion-focused and narrative therapy. I have experience working with individuals navigating anxiety, life transitions, family dynamics, relationships, and identity development. I also have particular experience working with student-athletes, military/ROTC members, and young adults.

Other Interests: I enjoy time with family and friends traveling, watching sports (I am from New England so my loyalties lie with Boston-area teams), and playing card/board games. I am an avid reader and enjoy a good puzzle. I love to travel and as a new arrival to Utah, I am excited to explore all it has to offer.

Clinical Approach/Interests: I use an integrative approach in working with clients drawing primarily from Mindfulness and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I also enjoy incorporating holistic approaches as appropriate. My goal is to create a safe and compassionate space for students who come to see me. Some specific areas of interest are anxiety, stress management, personal development, and life transitions.

Other Interests: In my free time, I enjoy being in nature, exercising, traveling, reading, music, and dancing.

Clinical Approach/ Interests: I am passionate about helping you approach and integrate all the different parts of yourself with curiosity and compassion. My goal is to create a safe space for you to explore these different parts and understand how they contribute to your thoughts, feelings, and experiences, as well as how you relate to yourself and the world around you. I like to utilize components of humanistic, multicultural, and systems perspectives throughout counseling. I believe that counseling is relational and collaborative.

I am here to listen to you, hold your truth, and support you as you embrace the journey of personal growth, reaching your goals, and living a more fulfilling and authentic life.

Clinical Approach/ Interests: My approach is to learn about you, identify your strengths and values, and help you in your journey to self-discovery. I use components of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, always keeping a humanistic lens. I strive to create a safe space where we can work together toward your goals and explore the various systems in your life.

Other Interests: I enjoy spending time with my family and pets, cooking/baking and trying new foods, traveling, spending time outside, crocheting, and reading.

Clinical Approaches / Interests: I believe therapy is partly about being present with people and holding accepting space for their experience. It's a humbling opportunity to be involved in such processes. I have training in DBT, Feedback Informed Treatment supporting therapeutic relationship, CBT, Exposure for anxiety and ERP, EMDR, and Motivational Interviewing, among others. I enjoy working with individuals, couples, families and groups. I believe when one takes steps into vulnerability, new realizations, possibilities and connection can emerge. I know everyone has worth and value, and wish you well in your journey. 

Other Interests: I value giving time and attention to what feels meaningful to me. Some of these are relationships, community involvement, advocacy, learning, connection to the land, and considering the impact of things beyond the present. I enjoy traveling, sports, gardening, eating good food in good company, and building bridges between divides. Heroes of mine include Gandhi, Dr. King, and my Mom.

Clinical Approach/Interests: My therapeutic style is eclectic, but I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Exposure Therapy, and trauma-informed and humanistic perspectives. I am well versed in working with individuals with concerns in anxiety, depression, mood disorders, trauma, autism spectrum disorder, grief and loss, and relationship issues. I am passionate about my work and thoroughly enjoy this career.

Other Interests: I love spending time with family and friends, deeply connecting and laughing. I also love most things outdoors (with my dog!)- hiking, camping, and skiing. And when I need total relaxation, you will find me curled up with a good book.

Clinical Approach/Interests: My motto "When you can't look on the bright side, I will sit with you in the dark." I will do my best to sit with you in your distress. I will listen to you and check in frequently to make sure I understand your story. I will be open to learn from you. I will continue to seek out training, resources, and experiences that will help us both. I will do my best to always be human, show you compassion and empathy. You will have a space that you know you can return to when you need or want to. 

Other Interests: I am a first-generation college graduate. I am Weber State Alumni, class of 2006.  I am a husband, a father, a son, a brother, a mentor, an adviser, a social justice advocate. I love sports.  I love movies and books that inspire me. I AM ME AND I AM HERE!

Hometown & Places Lived: I grew up and have lived in various parts of Northern Utah.

Clinical Approach/Interests: Above all things, trust in yourself. I believe everyone has knowledge and tools within themselves; sometimes, it just helps to lay all the pieces out. My therapeutic approach is founded on Acceptance and Commitment and Internal Family Systems. Instead of fighting thoughts and feelings, I help individuals notice, name, and befriend the thoughts and emotions to lead toward values-based actions. I remain deeply committed to the social work value of social justice, striving to ensure access, opportunity, and participation for all people. My specific therapeutic interest and research focuses are working with the LGBTQIA2S+ community and Religion and Spirituality.

Other Interests: Before social work, I was a music teacher. Whether it’s playing, arranging, or listening, I know how big of an impact music can have. I’m a foodie,  I enjoy trying new cuisines and testing my creative cooking skills. I relax with video games, comics, movies, and books. And I love exploring our incredible outdoors with biking, hiking, and paddle boarding.

Clinical Approach/Interests: I use a holistic approach to support and care for individuals with various neuropsychiatric challenges, including mood disorders (depressive and bipolar disorders), anxiety disorders, and attention-deficit disorders. I warmly welcome and appreciate all neurotypes, recognizing and honoring each person's unique strengths and perspectives, and striving to create a neuro- affirming environment.

Other Interests: I find joy in spending quality time with my family and fulfilling my roles as a loving partner and father. I also find joy in the companionship of my two delightful dogs, Banjo the goldie and Sunny the goldendoodle. Connecting with nature inspires me; I take pleasure in immersing myself in its beauty, magnificence, and marvels. As an enthusiastic sports fan, I actively follow Seattle teams, especially Mariners baseball.Fitness is integral to my life (cycling, sprinting, jump-roping, versa-climbing, and strength training). Music holds a special place in my heart; I enjoy playing the piano, guitar, and banjo, and exploring diverse musical styles.

Clinical Approaches/Interests: I approach counseling from what is called a biopsychosocial perspective, which is a way of seeing people through a holistic lens and considering the physical, mental, and societal factors that interact to create wellness. With the biopsychosocial perspective in mind, I tend to work from person-centered and strength-based therapeutic modalities. Person-centered therapy puts the client as the expert of their own experience, while strength-based therapy highlights the strengths one has to overcome adversity.

Other Interests: I enjoy staying physically active. I love sports such as basketball and boxing, and I often take jogs to keep my mind and body clear. I enjoy reading and playing chess. Other interests include spending time with my family and friends, as my relationships matter greatly to me. I hold the conviction that relationship is therapy, and for that reason, I make a point to spend as much time possible with those who I love.

Clinical Approach/Interests: I approach clinical practice wholeheartedly and with an open perspective for each personalized lived experience. I embody authenticity and promote self-empowerment throughout my professional interactions. I approach clinical practice with the mantra that everyone deserves kindness and empathy, with the application that each life journey is different and unique.

Other Interests: I love Utah's lifestyle, nature, and the people who live here. I thrive in the outdoors--hiking, paddle boarding, four-wheeling, road-tripping, and gardening. I also love to create through sewing, embroidery, floral arranging, and home decorating. My favorite activities are spending time doing anything with my husband and our growing family of four children, their spouses, a grandson, a grand-dog, and our own black lab doggie.

Hometown & Places Lived: I grew up in Iowa, but I have lived in both Missouri and Minnesota for school. Currently, I live in South Ogden.

Clinical Approach/Interests: Each individual has their unique story, strengths, and perspectives which deserve to be heard. I utilize mainly concepts from cognitive-behavioral theory, solution-focused theory, and acceptance-based commitment approaches. I am highly interested in working with the student-athlete population regarding mental health concerns and mental skills training. Student-athletes face a variety of stressors that are unique and challenging that I hope to address within my work. I firmly believe that therapy is a tool that can be used to guide you to new changes or to help you understand/process previous changes.

Other Interests: I love reading (#BookTok), sports (basketball, football, baseball/softball), hammocking, kayaking, playing cards, traveling, and spending time with loved ones. Currently, I am beginning kickboxing/MMA and pickleball. Helping other first-generation students understand the college system and success!

Clinical Approach/Interests: Come as you are. Therapy is a place of understanding and a place to be real. I see my role as providing a safe place to be heard, try out new solutions, and find strengths that will allow you to meet your goals moving forward.   

Other Interests: I love food (cooking and eating), the outdoors, and video games. I am equally comfortable on a couch watching nerdy movies with my husband and dogs as I am spending a whole day hiking up a mountain and training with my search and rescue k9.
