Annie Taylor Dee SON DNP Program Outcomes

The WSU Annie Taylor Dee School of Nursing Program Outcomes were developed to ensure the mission and goals set by the administration and faculty are met.

Documentation of outcomes shows the effectiveness of the educational program and serves to guide maintenance and revision of Annie Taylor Dee School of Nursing components.

Following graduation from our programs, the following outcomes will be achieved:

  • Outcome #1: 80% of DNP-FNP students who began in their first nursing course of NRSG 6120 and concluded with NRSG 7080 will graduate within 150% of the program emphasis length. 80% of DNP-L students who began in their first nursing course of NRSG 7060 and concluded with NRSG 7080 will graduate within 150% of the program emphasis length.
  • Outcome #2: 80% of School of Nursing graduates seeking employment will be involved in role-related professional practice within 6-12 months of graduation as reported on the SON Alumni Survey.
  • Outcome #3: 85% of those students who take the certification exam will pass on the first attempt in the same 12-month period
  • Outcome #4: 80% of employers responding to the survey will report satisfaction at or above 3.0 or higher on a Likert scale regarding the ability of the graduates being prepared to function in the role of the family nurse practitioner (FNP) 6-12 months following graduation.
  • Outcome #5: 80% of graduates responding to the alumni survey will report satisfaction at or above 3.0 or higher on a Likert scale regarding satisfaction with being prepared to function in the role of the family nurse practitioner (FNP) 6-12 months following graduation.
