KEDGE Summer School 

 

Program Details

Embark on an unforgettable summer taking courses in France with KEDGE Business School (3-6 credit hours). Customize your experience: Chose between 2-weeks in Marseille, 1-week in Paris, or opt for a 3-week adventure combining Marseille and Paris. All courses are taught in English with classmates from all over the world. Kedge student volunteers organize a complete program of optional extra activities to give international students an insider’s look a France. Typical activities include beach parties, hikes, swimming, trips to nearby towns, monuments, museums, live music, eatery tours, group sports, and more!

Marseille: Nestled on the Mediterranean Coast, Marseille invites students into a world where rich history meets vibrant modernity. The city’s diverse cultural tapestry, stunning coastal views, and a laid-back atmosphere create an ideal backdrop for a summer of exploration. Students can delve into academic pursuits while savoring local cuisine and immersing themselves in the unique Provençal culture.

Paris: Known as the city of lights, Paris beckons students with its iconic landmarks, world-renown art, and unparalleled cultural richness. Studying in Paris offers an extraordinary opportunity to blend academic growth with the enchantment of daily life in this cosmopolitan hub. From strolling along the Seine to exploring historic neighborhoods, students can absorb the city’s artistic ambiance while attending classes in a global academic setting.

Destinations and program dates

  • Marseille, France ( June 15 - June 29, 2024)
  • Paris, France (June 29 - July 7, 2024)

Cost

  • Double Occupancy = $1,350 (2 weeks in Marseille)
  • Single Occupancy = $2,075 (2 weeks in Marseille)
  • Single Occupancy= $1750 (1 week in Paris Add-on to Marseille)
  • Single Occupancy = $1950 (1 week in Paris standalone)

Weber State Tuition for 3 or 6 credit hours: TBD

DEPOSIT: $250 due within 72 hours of registration

Program fee includes: Lodging* for program dates, Select Business / cultural visits, all required course materials, welcome breakfast, WSU group lunch, and KEDGE group dinner, Int’l health insurance for the program dates, membership to KEDGE student club InterAct, transportation passes to and from campus, and train ticket from Marseille to Paris if student chooses Paris add-on option.

*Marseille Lodging: Centrally located downtown and close to the city center, the residence hotels (Appart-Hotels) provide comfortable studio flats for 1-2 people. Apartments are equipped with a private bathroom, kitchen, Wi-Fi, TV, air conditioning, and weekly housekeeping. *Paris Lodging: All students receive a single room in a traditional style hotel near the Kedge Campus (Bercy Village). Lodging in both location is within 5 min. walking distance of metro and bus stops, supermarkets, restaurants, and local shops.

Program fee does NOT include: WSU Tuition, round-trip airfare, meals, transportation to and from hotel (from airport), 100€ Kedge application fee, personal travel, souvenirs, and incidentals.

Payments can now be made online! Visit this website for instructions on how to pay your deposit online and future payments. Charges should show on your account within 24 hours after registration. As always, you can pay with a credit card as well. To keep our trip costs low, we encourage the use of ACH Bank Transfers, or payments by cash or check whenever possible.

Academic Courses

Marseille (June 15 - 29)

Classes are M-TH for 3 hours per day and required business visits/cultural events are on Fridays (full day).

  • Strategic Management & Advanced Marketing for Sports Organizations (MKTG 4400)
  • Sports Marketing & communication (MKTG 3500) 

 

Paris (June 29 - July 7)

Classes are M-TH for 6 hours per day and required business visits/cultural events are on Fridays (full day).

One course available in Paris

  • Creating Customer Value with Disruptive Technologies (MKTG Elective)

 

Program Directors

Dr. Andrea Gouldman will be available to assist students with getting admitted, as well as get registered for courses. She is excited to offer this opportunity to Weber students and will help in any way she can. She will also be onsite in Marseille and Paris to help students get settled in and get comfortable navigating to campus.

Trip Cancellations

If Weber State cancels a trip for any reason, all participants will be refunded 100% of funds paid to the school. If a participant withdraws from the program for any reason, they are subject to the refund policy found on the first page of the application.  Deposits are always non-refundable, unless the program is canceled by Weber State.  No refunds will be issued 30 days prior to program start date. 

Refunds will NOT be given to students due to COVID-19 concerns, but the program may be canceled due to COVID-19. Before programs were canceled in 2020, every student was given the option to withdraw from programs without penalty due to COVID-19. This year students are applying, cognizant of the pandemic. Weber State will not intentionally place students into high risk situations. We will work together with Program Leaders and Departments on canceling should the destination demonstrate increased risks, be they from COVID or any other concern. As such, students must abide by the standard refund policy.
