About the Student Success Center
Weber State University's Department of Student Success framework is designed to empower students by strategically aligning the university's Amplified Strategic Plan 2.0 and Student Access & Success Division Learning Outcomes with four pillars of student success: Sense of Belonging, Academic Success, Well-Being, and Thriving. Our aim is to ensure that all students, regardless of background or circumstance, have the opportunity to succeed. Together, these pillars create a holistic approach to student success, equipping students to not only overcome challenges but also flourish throughout their academic journey and beyond.

HEAR FROM OUR STUDENTS
I came here to get help with a housing situation I was in. The Student Success Center pulled all their resources so that I would have a place to live. They also helped me find a campus job. If it wasn't for them, I don't think I would have been able to navigate my way through my freshman year of college. The physical space in the SSC has really helped me for studying when I need a place to focus.

The staff members in the SSC have been very helpful and supportive of me, not only in my academic life but also navigating and growing personally! Events hosted by the center have been super beneficial to me! For instance, I got to attend workshops on time management, career and self-development, and even socials that helped me network with peers and professional figures! They have really helped me academically, socially and even futuristically.

I love the friendliness of all the staff! They have made me feel very welcome every time I have come in; it has made the experience of navigating university as a First Gen student a lot less intimidating. Monica was able to help me complete my FAFSA in a very timely manner and also answered other questions!

Amanda has helped me a lot by giving me a sense of belonging. The Student Success Center educated me and also fed me when I didn't have any food for the day. I like the atmosphere of the space, it's calming but also upbeat. Its a great place to study and hangout.

The Student Success Center (SSC) has been an incredible place for support, collaboration, and growth. I spend about 20 hours a week here, making the most of its resources. It’s a hub of help, unity, and problem-solving, where students’ needs are truly prioritized. My experience at SSC has been nothing short of amazing. For me, it’s a platform where I can freely share my ideas and bring my thoughts to the table, knowing that every voice matters. I feel truly grateful to be part of such an empowering and inspiring environment. The events have benefited me in so many ways, from building my network to enhancing my problem-solving skills and learning how to handle various situations effectively. They’ve made me feel valued and reassured me that I matter to the university. These experiences have empowered me with the confidence to believe that I can achieve anything within the university community.
