Personal Bio:

Father, climber, and aspiring skater. Usually in that order and master of none. I am proud to say that I’m one of the few people over 40 years old at the skate park giving it a go. I have 4 kids: 20-yr-old son, twin 12-yr-old girls, and 1 dog named Mikey Jerry.

I was born and raised mostly in Colorado, but have lived in Ogden since 2005. While I work and now teach in a technical industry, I’m not much of a tech savvy person, and I often rely on my kids to help me navigate my phone. In my leisure time, I prefer to be away from a computer and outside, either just out with my dog and doing something active. Some of my outdoor passions include climbing, slackline, and practicing skating and onewheeling during the warmer months and snowboarding during the winter, and always looking for the next hair-brained adventure to take my kids on. They are troopers and very patient with me.  I consider myself a lifelong learner (and a distract-osaraus) as I love trying and learning new things. Some of the more recent things I’ve tried is America Ninja Warrior training and aerial silks. I also regularly practice yoga (Vinyasa) and enjoy sitting down with a book or a few – usually bouncing back and forth between something non-fiction and a guilty pleasure fiction read.
