Minor in Health Promotion Teaching/Non-Teaching

Make health promotion part of your career, whether it’s in an office or a classroom.

Minor Options

Non-Teaching Track

Our minor in health promotion equips you with the skills to advocate for healthy lifestyles in any professional setting.

Teaching Track

Teaching track minors gain skills for teaching K-12 students. A teaching major is required for teacher certification. Explore WSU’s teaching majors by visiting the College of Education website.

Degree Information

Grade Requirements

A grade of “C” or better in all minor coursework, in addition to a minimum GPA of 2.50 in minor coursework.

Credit Hours Requirements

Minimum of 22 credit hours.

Distance Learning

Health promotion courses may be taken through distance learning, which includes online or independent study courses. However, not all courses are offered in a distance learning format every semester.
