Kimball Hadfield, Adjunct Instructor

B.A. in geography, history and political science (magna cum laude), Weber State University, Master of Education in education and economics, Utah State/Weber State University, (summa cum laude).

Hadfield taught in the Davis County School District for 34 years before retiring in 2009. During that time, he was a geography instructor, social studies department chair, and International Baccalaureate Coordinator (for the only grade 7-10 program in Utah). He also worked as the District Social Studies Curriculum Director for 6 years.

At the same time, Hadfield has taught courses for the WSU Geography Department for 30 years, and has also taught courses at Salt Lake Community College and Utah Valley University.

He was honored as a "Geography Teacher of the Year" by the National Council of Geographic Education (NCGE) and is a trained Teacher Consultant for The National Geographic Society where he trained in 1988.

His teaching interests include physical geography, earth science, world regional geography, economics, and government.

He currently teaches GEOG 1000 – Natural Environments of the Earth and GEOG 1300 - Places and Peoples of the World, primarily at the WSU Davis Campus.
