Any colors chosen for text, icons or other symbols should contrast greatly with the background. Color should never be used as the sole means of representing information. Use preset options in Site Manager to display your text in an accessible way.

Avoid referring to colors, sizes, shapes and other physical traits as the only method of description. Don't say "Click the big, round, blue button," or “see above” as users with visual disabilities will not know which button this refers to. Don’t use color in a conference schedule to convey time/location of a given event.

Dos and Don'ts

DO: Use the preset options in Site Manager.
DON’T: Use lime green text on a white background.
