The Walker Institute of Politics & Public Service at Weber State University will cultivate civic dispostions within the student population and the community by fostering the civic attitudes of political efficacy, civic empathy, civic duty, civic confidence, and an inclination to engage in dialogue across difference.
 

Internships provide students with the unique opportunity of stepping out of the classroom to enhance their education and gain experience in a real-world setting.

Olene S. Walker, Utah’s 15th and first female governor, created the Olene S. Walker Institute of Politics & Public Service to help foster public service and political engagement for WSU students.
