Keynote Topic: Trans Masculine Fertility & Birth
Men giving birth? Seahorse dads? While transgender men and trans masculine individuals carrying and birthing their own kids isn’t exactly a new phenomenon, the subject of men giving birth and seahorse dads is. Trans masculine individuals are rarely spoken about in the media and politics surround trans individuals and because of this, they face barriers in medical and birthing spaces caused by being basically invisible. Join Kayden Coleman as he shares his two birth stories and debunks some myths about being a seahorse dad and transitioning. Engaging, personable and relatable… Kayden’s lived experience is guaranteed to open your eyes and compel you to want to be a better ally to the trans masculine community.
