Announcements: Starfish System Technical Challenges (August 7-8, 2026)

Recently, EAB Starfish pushed through product enhancements that caused errors for Google calendar integration and appointment notifications. Starfish was taken off-line for several hours the morning of August 8th to walk back these enhancements and mitigate students being able to schedule appointments at times when staff have a Google calendar conflict.

If your Google calendar/Starfish sync is not working, you can take the following steps to troubleshoot.  1) In Google Calendar sharing settings, reset your secret iCal link and copy it. 2) In your Starfish Profile > Appointment Preferences, delete your old secret iCal link & click Save to allow your Starfish account to completely unsync from Google. 3) Paste in the new secret iCal address and click Save.  4) Allow 5-10 minutes for calendars to sync. You should see Google calendar events populate in your Starfish appointments weekly calendar view.
