SSS hosts a workshop every other week in both Fall and Spring Semesters.

SSS SPRING 2026 WORKSHOP SCHEDULE

This semester all workshops will take place on Mondays and Tuesdays at 3 PM MST in room 169 of the Student Services Center. Workshops generally last fifty minutes.

Week 2, January 12&13: Networking 101 (Making Connections that Count): How to build professional relationships, leverage LinkedIn, and communicate effectively with professionals at career fairs. (Amanda)

Week 4, January 26&27: Passion vs. Paycheck (Weighing Job Satisfaction and Financial Stability): Explore the balance between pursuing a career you love and securing financial stability. This workshop will help you assess your priorities, understand long-term career growth, and make informed decisions about your professional path. (Greg)

Week 6, February 9&10: Skills for Success: Develop and understand the skills employers value most. (Sara) 

Week 8, February 23&24: Cover Letter: Learn the fundamentals of writing a professional cover letter for job applications. (Greg)

Week 10, March 9&10: Your First Internship (What to Expect and How to Succeed): Insights into navigating workplace culture, setting goals, and making the most of the internship experience. (Sara)

Week 12, March 23&24: Health & Wellness (Pam)

Week 14: Survey (By emailed invitation)
