In 2016 Weber State’s Model UN team participated in the NMUN in DC. National Model United Nations is the world’s largest and oldest ongoing intercollegiate Model UN. With participants from 126 UN member states, 48 US states, and 750 college and university students, this conference offered students the opportunity to experience the challenges of negotiation and cooperation, as well as learning about international relations and diplomacy. Since then, we have competed — and won awards — in Japan, the Galapagos Islands, and Germany. These experiences allow Weber State students not only to sharpen their skills in debate, research, and diplomacy but also to engage in international networking and cultural exchange.
