Industry and Research Experience

Iqtiar Md Siddique is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Manufacturing and Systems Engineering at Weber State University. His academic and professional work focuses on systems engineering, Model-Based Systems Engineering, requirements engineering, digital engineering, complex adaptive systems, aerospace applications, and lifecycle traceability. His research applies structured modeling, requirements analysis, digital integration, and verification methods to support the development of complex engineered systems.

His doctoral research examined MBSE for aerospace applications, with emphasis on requirements engineering, strategic requirements prioritization, digital integration, digital thread development, and small-satellite systems. He has applied SysML-based modeling approaches using Cameo Systems Modeler, MATLAB, STK, Teamcenter, and related digital engineering tools to support system modeling, requirements analysis, verification workflows, lifecycle traceability, and digital thread integration.

Before joining Weber State University, Dr. Siddique served as a Lecturer, INCOSE Academic Equivalency Consultant, Doctoral Research Associate, and Graduate Teaching Assistant at The University of Texas at El Paso. He also has industry experience in engineering, prototyping, pre-production, manufacturing, vehicle integration, operations management, and enterprise IT systems, including IT service management (ITSM).
