Symphony Orchestra

Find yourself in the Sound

The WSU Symphony Orchestra performs under the baton of Francisco de Gálvez, one of the leading Spanish conductors of his generation. The orchestra is made up of students from WSU who are honored to call the Val A. Browning Center their home. The orchestra aims to make classical music attainable, affordable, and appealing for students and the Ogden community.

Membership is by audition or consent of the instructor. Coursework and performances involve full symphony orchestra instrumentation. Symphony Orchestra courses fulfill the major ensemble requirement for music majors and minors and may be repeated seven times with a maximum of fourteen credit hours.
