Sound Production/Recording

Sound production & recording explores capturing and editing music, sound, and dialog. WSU’s sound production & recording programs offer students practical knowledge, training, and experience in a variety of production, recording, and performance applications. Our graduates are prepared for careers in sound design, audio engineering, the live events industry, and more.

Studying sound production & recording students have access to the Ray L. Kimber Music & Sound Recording Studio. Equipped with industry-standard equipment and state-of-the-art technology, students will gain the practical knowledge, training, and experience needed to start a successful career in sound production. The Kimber Studio features a broad array of sound equipment, including a Neve Console, Avid Pro Tools HDX2, an isolated recording studio, a variety of microphones, and other tools and software for sound production.
