Taxation Certificates
Weber State’s School of Accounting, Finance, and Taxation has an exceptional track record of preparing working professionals and full-time students for specialized tax jobs. Whether you're looking for a certificate that can be applied toward a Master of Taxation (MTax) degree or an opportunity for specialization and networking, the Goddard School of Business and Economics offers the Taxation Postbaccalaureate Certificate that is completed in just 15 credits.
We offer courses with small class sizes, which means students get more time with highly qualified professors. Through direct access to Goddard’s impressive alum network, our students are able to network with many Weber graduates at large organizations.
Taxation Postbaccalaureate Certificate
Graduate certificates offer working professionals unparalleled opportunities for specialization and networking to enhance expertise or for career advancement. Certificate coursework can also be applied toward an MTax degree.
For our Taxation Postbaccalaureate Certificate, you’ll take an elective and the following required courses:
- Tax Research & Procedure
- Advanced Individual Taxation
- Advanced Corporate Taxation
- Advanced Partnership Taxation

Scholarships
The School of Accounting, Finance and Taxation offers several tuition waivers and private scholarships to our students. Scholarships are awarded three times a year to students for each upcoming semester based on criteria including but not limited to GPA, program participation and individual scholarship criteria.
Students must apply for scholarships they are interested in per semester to be considered. For your scholarship to be paid out, you must have an active scholarship application on file in the Financial Aid/Scholarship Office. The office may also have other scholarship opportunities, so visit their website for information on how to apply.
Application Deadlines
- Fall entrance: August 1 (To be considered for a scholarship, the application must be complete with all documents received by June 1.)
- Spring entrance: December 1 (To be considered for a scholarship, the application must be complete with all documents received by Oct. 1.)
- Summer entrance: April 1 (To be considered for a scholarship, the application must be complete with all documents received by Feb. 1.)
