Medical Laboratory Technician Associate of Applied Science - Online
The Weber State Medical Laboratory Sciences programs follow a stacked-credentials module. The four-year curriculum is structured in two stages: the Associate of Applied Science program, which leads to the Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) credential, and the Bachelor of Science program, which builds on that foundation and awards the Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) credential.
The online AAS MLT program offers a flexible schedule while students complete the required lab experiences at a local site, such as their workplace or other approved lab. After successful completing of the AAS MLT program, students are eligible to sit for the MLT ASCP exam via route 1 and continue with the Bachelor of Science MLS program.
After graduation, students can work in a variety of high-demand and growing healthcare settings, such as clinics, hospitals and physician practices, research institutions, pharmaceutical and forensic labs and veterinary clinics.
This program is only available to students within the United States.
