Social Science Composite Teaching Highlights

Weber State Social Science Composite majors have a wide range of elective courses to choose from and numerous scholarships to help you earn your degree. Our courses cover how politics, warfare, theology, literature, environment and family life have changed over time. You’ll be able to conduct original research, analyze and evaluate sources, write clearly, and evaluate social dynamics. Our teaching composite program prepares you to teach a range of social science subjects, including political science, sociology, anthropology, psychology, and geography. 

As a student of various social science disciplines, you’ll have access to a wide variety of departmental events, clubs and networking opportunities.

Beyond the Classroom

As a social science composite teaching major, you can gain practical experience while working with history teachers in local junior highs and high schools.

You can also study abroad at the prestigious University of Tübingen in Germany.
