Studying Communication Teaching: Communication Studies at Weber State

A communication studies emphasis at Weber State prepares you to teach or coach human communication courses in high schools such as speech, debate, interpersonal and small group communication.

Communication Studies Highlights

In this program, you gain practical experience learning how to effectively teach the art of communication.  You will focus on educating today's youth about the foundations of competent communication in interpersonal, small group, and public settings.  Additionally, the skills you learn are applicable to many career paths beyond educational settings.

Beyond the Classroom

With a communication studies teaching emphasis, you'll be equipped to teach speech courses on the secondary level. You'll also be prepared to enter graduate school.
