Admission Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree

  A bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution is necessary to apply. With a non-accounting bachelor’s degree, students must complete additional undergraduate coursework (called "leveling courses"), which include  the classes below:

• Two Letters of Recommendation

  Only non-accounting Weber State undergraduate students and students from other schools require letters of recommendation. Relevant applicants must provide two letters of recommendation from professors or employers. All letters should address the applicant's potential for successful graduate study.

• Official Transcripts

  Relevant applicants can submit their transcripts electronically through the application portal.

• Resume
  • Applicants should upload a current resume in the online application form. 
  • The resume should include telephone numbers, an e-mail address, and a summary of educational background and work experience.

  • All application requirements, including mailing items, must be received before the application deadline.
  • The application portal will display when required items are received.
  • Incomplete online applications will not be accessible after the end of each application cycle. Reapplying individuals should contact the graduate enrollment manager to have their applications reactivated.
  • Each application must be accompanied by a $60 (U.S.) Master of Accounting (MAcc) application fee (NON-REFUNDABLE) ($95 for international / non-U.S. resident applicants) (NON-REFUNDABLE). The fee may be paid online with a credit card using the online application form. Personal checks or money orders are also accepted and should be made payable to Weber State University and sent to the MAcc Program Office at the address below. Make sure your name is written clearly on your check.

  • The MAcc Admission Committee can only review an application once payment is received.
  • Print and keep a copy of your completed application for your records.
• International Applicants

  The individual graduate program must admit an international graduate student before processing their paperwork. International applicants must send their official copies of international transcript evaluations and TOEFL scores (or equivalent) directly to the School of Accounting & Taxation.

  Those whose native language is not English, or whose language of instruction for their undergraduate degree was not English, will be required to submit a score from the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or International Language Testing System (IELTS), or an equivalent approved by the program, which is not more than two years old. The TOEFL must have a minimum score of 80 (Internet-Based) and the IELTS must have a minimum of 6.5 with a minimum of 5.0 on each section.
