This event allows the campus community to make their own self-care plan. This event focuses on encouraging participants to identify people in their lives they can reach out to in times of need - highlighting that self-care and community care are always linked.
Self-care September movie night This event is a chance for the campus community to enjoy a movie with LGBTQ+ characters and/or themes and to discuss the movie in relation to self-care and community care.
Held during LGBTQ+ History Month and Coming Out Day, Weber State Pride is a week of events that engage the campus community in LGBTQ+ history and pride. Weber State Pride is also a time to remind ourselves and each other that we do not owe anyone “coming out” and other ways that the concept of coming out is problematic.
Weber State’s LGBTQ+ Center observes Transgender Awareness Week each November to highlight the transgender community and to provide transgender students, staff, and faculty with space to come together and celebrate being trans as well as connecting the campus community with resources for transgender folks.
