The Weber State University LGBTQ+ Center fulfills our vision of materially and tangibly improving the experiences of LGBTQ+ students by pursuing the following university-wide efforts:
Dedication to campus LGBTQ+ community building through:
Intersectional Education for Students
Curricular, co-curricular & extracurricular education for LGBTQ+ students and their allies at Weber State.
Resources
Scholarships, emergency funds, and other resources that either alleviate financial burden from students' lives, provide them with regular hygiene products to fill any gaps and/or that assist in affirming their gender and sexuality.
Training for Faculty/Staff
Professional development including trainings provided by the center and advertised through the center.
Mentoring
The center will be a space for students to receive mentorship both from professional staff, student staff and their peers.
Community Partnerships
Collaborations with partners in the community to fulfill the mission and vision of the center.
