Mamta Chaudhari (she/her) currently works at Salt Lake County Health Department in the Air Quality bureau. She received her Master of Public Health degree from The George Washington University focused on Environmental Health Science and Policy and her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Westminster College. She grew up in Vernal and now calls Salt Lake City home. Mamta has served as an AmeriCorps VISTA focused on increasing food security and access in Utah. She has supported health equity initiatives by serving on an advisory committee to train all health department employees as part of the department’s strategic planning. Mamta sees an environmental health future focused on social equity and justice with climate change solutions and adaptation at the forefront.
