Justin Owen is the Interim Director of Plant Operations at Weber State University where he oversees building operations, maintenance, commissioning, energy, and sustainability. Justin manages WSU’s revolving green fund, pursues energy rebates, manages energy upgrades to HVAC and lighting systems, calculates annual energy savings, and oversees the university’s renewable efforts. During his tenure, WSU’s already substantial energy savings have continued to grow and WSU has continued to be cutting edge with the installation of ground source, variable refrigerant flow, and solar systems. Justin holds Masters degrees in Environmental Science and Public Affairs from Indiana University and a Bachelor’s in Geography from Weber State University. He is also a Certified Energy Manager and recently completed a certificate in Financing and Deploying Clean Energy through Yale.
