Concurrent Enrollment Introductory Course

Concurrent enrollment courses are designed to give you, as high school juniors and seniors, the opportunity to take classes for college credit while in high school (what a great way to jump-start college at no additional cost).

The Dynamic Earth Physical Geology course (GEO 1110 CE) counts for 3 college credits and can be completed in a high school semester. This is the first class required for all earth and environmental science majors and satisfies part of the physical science general education requirement that all students need in order to graduate from WSU. In this course you will learn about key aspects of the Earth, including minerals, rocks, plate tectonics, earthquakes, and the effects of water, wind and ice on the Earth’s surface. In addition, you will interact with Weber State professors and be introduced to campus laboratory facilities and advising resources, while earning college credit. We can help you plan for other concurrent enrollment classes that provide you with a head start to college.
