Nutrition Education Minor

We provide up-to-date nutrition education for disease prevention with focus on diet design, fitness and sports nutrition, sustainable cooking, directed undergraduate research and dedicated courses in lifespan nutrition (prenatal and infant, childhood and adolescent and the older adult).

What You'll Learn

You will leave WSU able to perform diet analysis, design diets, educate with multicultural sensitivity, research current scientific literature, assimilate nutrition information and communicate competently in written and in oral forms.

Degree Information

Requirement

  • A total of 18 credit hours is required for graduation; 7 of which must be upper-division (courses numbered 3000 or higher).
  • A minimum GPA of 2.5 must be earned in all courses required for this minor.
