Anchor & Ascent: AI Career Audit

Ty Naylor
Room: UB 320

AI is changing higher education fast, but the biggest risk to your department isn't the technology; it is staff burnout and the deep fear of losing jobs.

This course teaches supervisors the "anchor & ascent" method to help your team move past their AI anxiety by letting computers handle the boring paperwork, so your staff can focus on what they do best: supporting students and solving complex problems.

You will learn how to use AI safely, update how you measure employee success, and build trust with a team that is already exhausted by constant changes. Learn how to lead a confident, AI-empowered staff who will always remain your most important asset for driving student success.

Demystifying the Audit: How to Be Audit-Ready

Bryce Barker, Stephanie Jaramillo & Joshua Stott
Room: UB 320

Think an internal audit is something you only need to "survive"?

Think again. Join the Weber State Internal Audit team for an engaging, behind-the-scenes look at how we partner with departments to strengthen operations, improve security, and drive success.

In this session, we will move past the myths and take the mystery out of the audit process. From the initial planning stages to final reporting, we’ll walk you through the entire lifecycle of an audit so you know exactly what to expect—and how to be prepared. We’ll share real examples of how audits help identify efficiencies and improve processes, discuss the proactive roles we take in system access, desktop security and P-Card management, and show you why we’re all on the same team. Whether you’re currently on the audit schedule or just want to be prepared for the future, this session will give you the tools, clarity, and confidence to be "audit-ready" at any time.
