The Basics of Excel

In this video, we will create a budget. To do this, we will create a spreadsheet, enter text and numbers, use the fill handle, adjust column widths, create mathematical formulas, and use the SUM function.

Formulas

In this tutorial, we will learn what formulas are and what they're used for. We will then input formulas manually, by typing them into the cell or formula bar.

Using Charts and Graphs

Charts and Graphs are very useful tools to organize vast quantities of information and data. They allow a person to more easily interpret groups of data providing meaning and clarity. This video will demonstrate how to utilize charts and graphs and also include in-depth information on converting data into chart and graph formats.

Formatting Worksheets

Formatting worksheets enhances readability, making it easier to gather information quickly. In this tutorial, you will learn how to get started formatting your worksheet. This will include text alignment options, colors, borders, styles, themes, and text styles.

Relative and Absolute Cell References

Referencing cells in Excel is one of the basic features, but utilizing special notations we can tell Excel exactly what cell we want it to reference. In this video, we start off by sharing a little about worksheets before we focus on relative and absolute cell references. In addition, we will also briefly cover conditional formatting.

Enhancing Workbooks

Along with making spreadsheets easier to understand, Excel can be used to analyze large amounts of data and present it using a few simple steps. In this video we'll be covering some tools to further enhance your workbook. We will share how to display formulas, create a column chart, move that column chart to a new sheet, and lastly, take a brief look at the IF function.

Average If

Finding averages in a large amount of diverse data containing different parameters can be a tedious task. Understanding how to use the Average If formula will make this task simple. In this video, we will cover, step by step, the process of using the Average If formula on a set of data to receive the average in several different parameters using the same formula.

Data Formats

In this video, you will learn to identify the different data types Excel supports and how to format them appropriately. You will format numbers, percentages, currency, and dates, as well as create your own custom formatting.

Sum IF and Count IF

The Sum IF and Count IF functions are great data analysis tools. These two functions allow you to conditionally sum or count cells based on a single condition. As you follow this tutorial, you will gain a basic understanding of how to use these functions so you can can apply them with your own data.

If Function

In this video we will use IF Functions to return Conditional Values by using proper syntax and logical operators, create Nested IF functions for more complex scenarios, and use AND and OR functions.

Conditional Formatting

Conditional Formatting is used in Excel to make data more visually intuitive. It can help people more quickly pinpoint relevant data whenever they need it. In this tutorial, we'll look at how to create and manage conditional formatting “Rules”, as well as take a look at the different formatting options available through conditional formatting.

Financial Formulas pt. 1

We will use the basic Financial Functions that excel provides, such as those for calculating the future and present values for an investment.

Financial Formulas pt. 2

In this tutorial, we will use the Financial Formulas to find the interest rate, the constant payment and the principal payment.
