Getting Started with Hourly Child Care
The WSU Hourly Child Care services will merge with the Melba S. Lehner Children’s School for fall 2026, streamlining services into one central location, making it easier and more efficient for students to access care on campus.
Hourly child care will be available Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. following the academic calendar. The student rate will be $4.50 an hour. Find more details on the Melba S. Lehner Children’s School website.
We will not have hourly child care for summer 2026. Find a database and info on finding quality child care.
- Care is available exclusively for academic purposes, including classes, testing, and tutoring.
- Children may be scheduled a maximum of 20 hours per week.
Pay for Child Care
You will pay for child care through Weber State's secure platform. Pre-payment for care is due every Friday before care can be provided the following week. Unused funds will carry forward to the next week.
