Information for Implementation - CDEV My 3 Webers

Purpose

The goal of this activity is for students to create three different possible paths they are interested in exploring. Whether this is their first semester or their last, students can design the different experiences they can have at Weber State and beyond, and then take steps to put them into action.

Steps for Activity Implementation for Programs and Courses:

1. Students and Administrators watch the videos and review the provided resources. This can be done individually or in small groups.

2. Students create three different Weber Paths they might experience - Purple, White, and Gold. Incorporate potential majors, exploration activities, personal achievements, remaining questions, and pictures to bring it to life. Fill out the Dashboard Gauges on each plan as well.

3. Students use the rubric to self-assess and make edits as needed, then turn their My 3 Webers into their administrator for review.

4. Based on the My 3 Webers videos and resources provided, Administrators will use the rubric to evaluate the student’s work. They will give specific feedback on any edits needed in each section, and guide the student to think boldly about the options available to them at WSU and beyond.

5. When completed, students check off the item on their personal CDEV Map. When all of the components on the CDEV Map are complete, students submit their artifact through the Impact in GivePulse for their Administrator to verify. The artifact for this activity is the student’s completed My 3 Webers document and reflection questions.

Optional Activity

After reviewing the instructions and creating a rough draft of their three paths, students meet together to provide each other with additional ideas and feedback.

Steps for Activity Implementation for Individuals

Students may complete the My 3 Webers activity on their own, but it does not count toward the Wildcat Advantage HIEE “CDEV for Individuals”.
